North Shore Fall Colors!

The colors are coming! The colors are coming! We’ve DuluthFallColor2always said that one of the most colorful and beautiful seasons on the North Shore is the fall season. And this season won’t disappoint! The Department of Natural Resources is predicting one of the prettiest falls seasons in 10 years! 1. See the fall colors from a train ride! CNN named the fall color train tour on of the Top 5 fall foliage train rides in America! That has to count for something, right? Or, you can have the train stop right at Larsmont to pick you up or drop you off. It’s one of only three resorts in the country with its own train stop! You can even buy your tickets online. This is one thing you have to see when looking for North Shore fall colors!
  2. Drive and see the colors with ZERO crowds. One of the best parts of the North Shore fall season is you don’t have to fight the crowds to see the fall colors if you don’t want to! Take a drive along highway 61 from Duluth to Grand Marais in your car, mini-van or SUV. There are no crowds here and this excellent trail map will help make your trek easy.
